Lead Me

Nathaniel heard this song on the radio yesterday when he was driving home from work.  He found it very moving–and quite unique.  It deals with God’s call (and a family’s call) for men to step up and lovingly lead.  Here is the acoustic version with lyrics.  Hope this is encouraging to you all and your families!

I heard this song on the radio and was amazed at the depth of this song… That may sound cheesy, but if you listen to most “Christian” artists now, their actions don’t really seem to match up to their words (“I live for You” “I don’t need fame or money” etc.). But this was pretty down-to-earth and Scriptural. I don’t know… I just really appreciated it. 🙂

Good thoughts, Kerra. And glad you liked the song, Sara and Whitt.

One thing that I think we ladies can take away from it is that our men need to hear from us that we need them and love them. As daughters, we can seek our father’s counsel and enjoy his friendship rather than just asking him for money. And as wives we can dote on our husbands, show that we are thrilled to have them around, and avoid nagging them. 😉 In either case, when a man knows he is appreciated, it encourages him all the more to be what God has called him to be!

Thanks so much Lauren! I just sent this to some friends. I think I’ve just been overwhelmed by how much weighs on my husband’s shoulders. If we’re married, we have a great responsibility to pray for our men. If we’re not married, we can definitely pray for our possible-future-husband and other men that are the head of the home. The world wants to tear the home apart…only God can sustain our men and make a home beautiful!
